The London Stock Exchange is a market for buying and selling shares. There are two groups:

• Brokers who buy and sell for you. Organized by the offer and receive the commission, which could be 1% with a minimum of about 15 pounds.
• Market makers buying and selling for you. They are the difference between purchase price and selling the spread (which is usually about 1%).

There is a new trading system, called order-driven trade (the old system is called quote-driven transaction), companies operating in the common value (Exchange Electronic Trading) by which buyers and sellers are matched automatically. However, agreements are created by the stockbrokers.

Alternative Investment Market
