Is there a forum somewhere where stock traders can learn from other players on their techniques?

I buy and sell shares, provided there is something new to learn in trade (no pun). Is there a place online to go to allow operators to converse with each other about what is technique, etc. .. or businesses are good for daytrader etc. ..

If you are a novice in investing or stocks, go to www.finance.yahoo.com. Open a portfolio without using real money. You can be as much or as little money to test the market. The towns want to focus on everyday consumer goods, consumer discretionary, and health. These are the defensive actions that survive through good and bad. Most of my positions are in these populations. Some names include 3M, Procter & Gamble, Kimberly Clark, Exxon Mobil, Walmart, Costco. Everyone has to eat and cleanse the back regardless of the state of the economy. Many of these companies survive through of the Great Depression. That's profits. You can rest easy knowing that your money is good. There is no guarantee you will not lose money. It's just that these populations are the best. They pay good dividends too. Then once you feel comfortable and test the market waters, you can finally put some real money in Go to Scottrade.com. They are excellent for beginners. If you are new to stock, NO date. You a rookie in a world of professionals. I tried trading day with Citigroup and AIG, as it were a little over $ 1. I had a little luck at first, making about $ 30 per day, but I was way over my head. My luck did not last long time and I had to rethink my strategy. Day trading is a huge commissions to intermediaries. With all the commissions deducted from each trade, you'll be lucky if you only lose half your money. I day trade using Yahoo! Finance. Open an account stimulation, take $ 100 in counterfeit money and play in the format stimulation. You'll see what I mean by the loss of money for each facility. Good luck.
