What about people clapping on the balcony of Wallstreet?
When I heard the news and that stocks are very low on that day in particular, there is usually a camera shot of a group of people on a balcony overlooking the trading in equity (?) room, clapping and smiling happy. Who are these people?
I suppose you mean the "sound the bell" ceremony at the NYSE. It is considered an honor to ring the bell Opening in the New York Stock Exchange. You can read more about it on the website of the NYSE.
