Can anyone help with the terminology stock trading?
I am learning to trade stocks online. When I go to the website, There are five ways to order: "market" limit (which I think means that buy and sell shares at market price), but what about ',' top ',' stop 'and' trailing stop '? And transactions Re: I can buy and sell, but what is 'short' and 'cover'? Day (How are the different buying and selling?) And for the duration, no 'and' GTC '- What do you mean these? Thanks for the help they can offer.
This is the best of my knowledge, though I recommend doing more research, reading and advice Experienced investors … limit = a parameter (eg price, length of time before it can be canceled) that is placed on actions that it intends purchase / sale of top = When the population reaches its limit price, the order that you get (buy or sell) = stop running when the stock price goes beyond a particular point, this order becomes a market order to stop end = similar to a suspension order, but has a set percentage, rather than a point particular (and therefore will move with the market price) to short (sell) shares sold = non-owner (with money borrowed from the broker), but assuming you can buy these shares at a price below cover = complete the transaction (eg purchase of shares of short sales) Terms = "good" til canceled "order of buy / sell at a specified price until the end of the trading day if it does not provide this instruction in trade … happy!
