You really do not "invest" in the currency market unless your buying a stake in a fund of money or trade that is taking someone for you. Otherwise, make the trades yourself. Both are probably equally difficult to master, but Forex may work better in all market conditions, where actions can be in the depressions for years. It depends on your temperement. If you are risk averse, then invest in some well-founded strong values. If they are okay with the risk and want the possibility of large rewards (leverage), then try the currency.
